We are excited to announce that Bridget has put pen to paper and Alana drafted a chord progression and melody to her words again. The result is a new song!! This one is in regards to the after effects of tropical storm Irene. We'll be posting the lyrics soon as well as a musical clip...Stay tuned!!

Winooski Farmer's Market

A BIG thank you to Seth and the organizers of the Winooski Farmer's Market for putting together such a wonderful event!! It must be a lot of work. Frequently on Sunday morning, my partner and I will be enjoying breakfast at Sneakers and we notice the organizers setting up canopies for the market. Thank you for putting together such a welcoming event filled with fabulous vendors and live music each week. I for one totally enjoy seeing the Winooski downtown come to life each Sunday morning.

Oh, and did I mention the crowd was a fabulous audience to perform for today?? Thank you for all the enthusiasm, applause and smiles (and offers of food -- the vendors are the friendliest ever)!! We had SO much fun performing for you all today...Truly, it was a joy!! Keep doing what you're doing ~ It's fabulous to have such a vibrant and giving community! Thanks to the organizers for pulling this all together and making it happen each week!! Your hard work does not go unnoticed. You all rock!!

What a fabulous time last night at Carol's Hungry Mind cafe in Middlebury!! Excellent performers, each and every one, and the audience was the best in the area!! New Songs from the Waves

Hey, the song fairies have been gracing the Waves this spring, and we've got two new ones we're really excited about. One's been on our Facebook page for a bit -- Love Song for Roller Coaster. The other is called Time and Time Again, and while we've yet to record it, plans are in the making! Want to hear what we're up to? Watch this space or our Facebook page for calendar details. We're playing at the Highlands Inn in Bethlehem NH this Saturday (6/18), and we'll be firming up some other summer dates soon!

Another Hat Trick

The Waves completed another "hat trick" ~ Yeah!! We played 3 open mics in a week!! Can we call that our Greater Burlington area tour? No matter what we call it, we had a fabulous time!! We started out at Monty's in Williston, then hit On the Rise in Richmond followed up with On Tap in Essex Junction!! We played only original songs at each venue and thoroughly enjoyed performing for all those wonderful listeners out there! Thank you for listening and asking us to come back!!

We have SO much fun playing out and we appreciate your laughs, your smiles, your applause!! Keep an eye on our calendar and we'll be seeing you out again soon ~ Life is good!!

The Waves on the radio

It IS quite possible that you DID hear the Waves on the radio!! Seems Marian Kelner has played the Ballad of Sally Shaw on her radio show (more than once). Check out her program titled "Speciocracy" on Friday afternoons at 1:00 on WMBB 107.9 in Greenfield MA. You can also catch her program by streaming it at:

We are thrilled ~ yet again ~ to be going back to the recording studio to work further on our cd at the end of this month!! Will we have another song to post here? If so, will it be an old favorite or another new song?

We are having a fabulous time and hope you enjoy the music we are playing! Life is extremely good!!

Fun at On Tap open mic

We had a great time last night at On Tap open mic hosted by Wylie. He does a fabulous job as host on a nice big stage with a superb sound system. What could be better, right? Lots of great music was played and the comedian was a hoot ~ This open mic is every Monday night. On Tap is at the 5 corners in Essex Junction (used to be the Lincoln Inn).

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, waving harmonies with a little guitar and a little mandolin!! It's ALL in fun and we certainly do have a great time!! Hoping to see you out and about again soon ~ Until then, enjoy every possible moment!

What a great day we had in the recording studio!! Peter Engisch is wonderful to work with!! We got in a full day and brought home a rough draft of our most recent original -- Love Song for a Roller Coaster. It's posted in our music section. Thank you for raising a glass in celebration last night!! This IS a dream come true!! Thank you for listening and for all your support!!!
